When my family becomes incredibly busy and everyone is going in different directions, our diet is the begins to suffer. We began to juice as a way to get more daily nutrients. This antioxidant juice is a favorite of mine.
At first, our juices were very sweet with lots of fruit. As we continued to juice, we began to eliminate fruits and use more vegetables.
I read that beets are a great addition to any juicing regiment, that are packed with important nutrients like B6, magnesium potassium and manganese. Beets also provide your body with antioxidants and while helping your body detoxify. They also turn juices a beautiful purple color while adding sweetness.
If you are using a juicer, use the whole beet and carrot, greens and all. The greens of vegetables are loaded with nutrients. If you don’t use the greens in your juice, chop your beet greens up to serve in a salad and save your carrot greens for your next soup stock.
